CLUB
POLICIES

Aire Trampoline Club is committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of every gymnast, coach and visitor.

Safeguarding Policy

Last reviewed: April 2025

Aire Trampoline Club is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children, young people and vulnerable adults who participate in our activities. We believe that every gymnast has the right to enjoy trampolining in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

Our Commitment

We adopt and follow the British Gymnastics Safeguarding Policy in full. All coaches, volunteers and staff are required to complete a British Gymnastics safeguarding qualification and hold a current Enhanced DBS check before working with gymnasts.

Welfare Officer

Aire Trampoline Club has a designated Club Welfare Officer who is the first point of contact for any safeguarding concern. Their details are displayed at each venue. If you have a concern about a gymnast's welfare, please speak to the Welfare Officer or a senior coach immediately.

Reporting a Concern

Any safeguarding concern should be reported to the Club Welfare Officer without delay. Concerns can also be reported directly to British Gymnastics or the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). All reports are treated seriously and handled confidentially.

Code of Conduct

All coaches, staff and volunteers are expected to uphold the British Gymnastics Code of Conduct at all times. This includes maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, never being alone with a single gymnast in a non-visible space, and always acting in the best interests of the gymnast.

Photography & Social Media Policy

Last reviewed: April 2025

Aire Trampoline Club recognises that photography can be a positive part of celebrating gymnasts' achievements. However, the safety and dignity of every gymnast — particularly children — must always come first.

Official Club Photography

From time to time the club may take photographs or video for use on our website and promotional materials. We will always seek consent from parents and guardians before publishing images of under-18s. Consent is obtained at registration and can be withdrawn at any time.

Photography by Parents & Spectators

Parents and spectators are welcome to photograph their own child. We ask that you:

  • Photograph your own child only, being mindful of other gymnasts in the background
  • Do not share images of other people's children on social media without explicit parental consent
  • Respect the privacy of other gymnasts and families at all times
  • Follow any additional guidance given by venue staff

Concerns

If you have a concern about how photography is being used at the club, please speak to a coach or the Club Welfare Officer in the first instance.

Complaints Policy

Last reviewed: April 2025

Aire Trampoline Club welcomes feedback from gymnasts, parents and guardians. If you have a concern or complaint, we ask that you raise it with us so that we have the opportunity to address it promptly and fairly.

Informal Resolution

In the first instance, we encourage you to speak informally to the coach or member of staff involved, or to a senior coach. Many concerns can be resolved quickly through open and respectful conversation.

Formal Complaints

If your concern has not been resolved informally, you may submit a formal written complaint by emailing reception@aire.tc. Please include your name, a description of the issue and any relevant dates. We will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to provide a full response within 14 days.

Escalation

If you are not satisfied with the club's response, you may refer your complaint to British Gymnastics at www.british-gymnastics.org.

Safeguarding Complaints

Any complaint relating to the welfare or safeguarding of a child or vulnerable adult will be dealt with under our Safeguarding Policy and escalated to the appropriate authorities where necessary.
