Our History

Aire Trampoline Club in Kent was founded in 2003 and has developed and trained many trampoline gymnasts throughout its history.  The club initially, operated out of a school hall, building its membership from zero to 20 gymnasts.  In 2009 the club leased a commercial unit on the Wincheap Industrial Estate in the beautiful city of Canterbury, which it operated until February 2020.  Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing cost of running a facility, we were unable to sustain the facility and the club moved back into operating out of a school hall.

Aire Trampolining Club is a non-profit community organisation.  The Kent based Trampoline Gymnastics Club has expanded and now operates from 3 locations in Kent; Canterbury, Folkestone & Sandwich.  Our trampoline gymnastics club in Canterbury owns 13 Olympic sized trampolines including 7 Eurotramp Ultimate Trampolines.

As a club we are passionate about providing each gymnast the opportunity to participate in a supportive, safe and rewarding environment that emphasises fun, enjoyment and skill learning at a level that fits their interest and ability.  We aim to create a challenging environment for those gymnasts who aspire to reach their full potential.

Trampolining in Kent is available for all ages and abilities. The club is affiliated to the British Gymnastics (the National Governing Body) and has adopted its policies for safeguarding among many others.

Director of Coaching, Dexter Millen oversees the coaching at all three locations and has a wealth of trampoline experience.  He holds a Level 4 British Gymnastics Coaching Qualification and in recent years was awarded the British Gymnastics Award of Merit.  Dexter has always had a passion for trampoline, competing at a young age himself.  He now shares and inspires young people to achieve great things in this fun and challenging Olympic sport.

Our dedicated trampoline coaches and staff are all DBS checked and hold a current safeguarding qualification.  Senior staff are also First Aid qualified.  Aire Trampoline Club is always keen to support it coaching staff, with many of our coaches coming through the competitive squads.

We hope to promote and develop trampolining within schools in Kent.  We are extremely proud of our Competitive Trampoline Squad who have achieved great things, competing in the National Development Plan and League series, having stood on the national podium many times.  Aire Trampoline Club’s Squad members are selected through our recreational sessions therefore if you are interested please contact us.
