About Us

AIRE TRAMPOLINE CLUB

The Club is a British Gymnastics registered club

Our History

Aire Trampoline Club in Kent was founded in 2003 and has developed and trained many trampoline gymnasts throughout its history.  The club initially, operated out of a school hall, building its membership from zero to 20 gymnasts.  Since then, it has grown to 235 members, training in a large dedicated trampoline facility located in the centre of Canterbury.

Aire Trampolining Club is a non-profit community organisation.  The Kent based Trampoline Gymnastics Club has expanded and now operates from 3 locations in Kent; Canterbury, Folkestone & Sandwich.  Our trampoline gymnastics club in Canterbury owns 13 Olympic sized trampolines including 7 Eurotramp Ultimate Trampolines and a Double Mini Trampoline.

As a club we are passionate about providing each gymnast the opportunity to participate in a supportive, safe and rewarding environment that emphasises fun, enjoyment and skill learning at a level that fits their interest and ability.  Also, to create a challenging environment for those gymnasts who aspire to reach their full potential.

Trampolining in Kent is available for all ages and abilities.  The club is affiliated to the British Gymnastics (the sports national governing body) and has adopted its policies for safeguarding among many others.

Director of Coaching, Dexter Millen oversees the coaching at all three locations and has a wealth of trampoline experience.  He currently holds a Level 4 British Gymnastics Coaching Qualification and in 2018 was awarded the British Gymnastics Award of Merit.  Dexter has always had a passion for Trampolining, competing at a young age himself.  He now shares and inspires young people to achieve great things in this fun and challenging Olympic sport.  “It’s really satisfying to see children learn new skills both on and off the trampoline and watch them grow and develop” says Dexter.

Our dedicated trampoline coaches and staff are all DBS checked and hold a current safeguarding qualification.  Senior staff are also First Aid qualified.  Aire Trampoline Club are keen to support it coaching staff, with many of our coaches coming through the competitive squads.

We wish to promote and develop Trampolining within schools in Kent.  Local schools are welcome to attend the Club as part of their Physical Education syllabus albeit at Primary or Secondary level.  Our sessions are inclusive for children and adults with disabilities and we also work alongside many Special Educational Needs organisations.

We are extremely proud of our Competitive Trampoline Squad who have achieved great accolades for the club, competing in NDP and League series, having stood on the national podium many times.  Aire Trampoline Club’s Squad members are selected through our recreational sessions therefore if you are interested please contact us.

Each session will start with a group warm up.  The group will then be split evenly into groups of no more than 5 gymnasts per trampoline.  We have a regulated timer to ensure that every gymnast gets the same amount of time on the trampoline.
